Meet The Owners

Hi, our names are Myung Sook and Jong Hyo Jung!

We moved to the United States in 2000, hoping to create more opportunities for our children. After operating a Korean restaurant in Fort Wayne, we moved to Bloomington and opened Hoosier Seoulmate in 2020. Over the years, Indiana has become home to our family, and now our restaurant.

At Hoosier Seoulmate, we serve Korean recipes that have been in our family for generations. It is the same food we cook and share around our own dining table, made with care and shared with the Hoosier community that has supported us.

“This is heaven on earth. The only thing that would make this place better was never said. My mushroom chicken on rice was amazing I legitimately thought i had made it to heaven. The flavors are absolutely stunning. I couldn't get enough of my food. The bad/ good thing is I couldn't decide what to eat first. This experience doesn't happen often and I'm grateful to have found this place. Thank you for the great service and wonderful food. I will be back for sure!"
